Guidelines and Club Policies
Training Grounds
A big thanks to all teams that have done their registrations and are using
the correct training fields at the moment.
Please note that the grounds at Rosedale are NOT
AVAILABLE for soccer use until the 1st April. This is a restriction
imposed by the council.
We do run a booking system through the office for training grounds etc so
please email us
admin@albanyunited.org to check availability.
Training Guidelines
All grid work should be done off playing fields or in designated training
areas. Grid work is defined as any training exercise, other than small sided
games, requiring players to stay within a coned area.
Midget and Junior teams must leave training areas by 6pm to allow senior
teams to train.
Senior teams are not able to use training fields before 6pm, and must vacate
the fields and turn off training lights by 8:30pm.
Training areas should be minimised to allow maximum numbers of teams to
utilise the available areas.
The number 1 field directly in front of the club house is not to be used for
training or non-allocated games.
Goal mouths and goal areas should not be used for training, with the
exception of specific goal keeper training.

Sport and information, for a minimum of 3 consecutive hours.

1 no later than 3pm Friday, or if conditions are marginal, by 730am on

Disregarding of Cancellations
In the past there have been instances of “Ground Closure” signs being moved
or ignored. In the event that this happens the offending Club will forfeit
all home grounds fields for one week.
Senior Results Line
All senior teams playing in the Pat's Garage leagues must phone their results through to the US1 results line 414 3695 on the day the game is played. Failure to do so will result in a fine being imposed by United Soccer 1, this will be passed on to the teams involved.
Team Cards
All senior teams are required to fill in a team card after every game. These can either be left in the collection box at the clubrooms or posted into the address on the cards. Failure to do so will result in a fine being imposed by United Soccer 1, this will be passed on to the teams involved.
Albany United's U19 Napier Team
As in previous years, the Under 19's Metro team is not automatically the
team that plays in the Napier tournament. We have under 19's that qualify
and play in other teams at the club, including 1st team and reserves, who
will also be considered for selection.
It is not our policy to invite 'guest players', other than in exceptional
circumstance, and favour is always given to the long standing loyal members
of our club. Though players are expect to make a financial contribution, and
in some cases assist with fund raising, the vast bulk of the expenditure is
paid for by the club, and with this in mind, the club officials have to
sanction all members, players and non-players, who travel to Napier.
