AUFC HOLIDAY PROGRAMME
Our Holiday Programme facilitated by both our Community Football Director and and Football Business International Pro Academies which feature UEFA Licenced coaches.
Our programme covers a number of core skills where players can improve and develop. This is a great chance for players to receive high quality training separate from their team training as they advance in football and progress through the Football Business International football modules and place themselves in position for invitation to our European Tours.
The Holiday Programme is divided into streams
Week 1 - led by our Community Football Director
Week 2 - facilitated by Football Business International, led by UEFA Licenced Coaches under a Pro Academy

The programme days usually follow a format of:

What to bring:
Players need to bring food and snacks for morning/afternoon break & lunch, water bottle, shin pads, football boots, a rain jacket and plenty of energy and enthusiasm to learn.
In the event of heavy rain the programme will be moved indoors at the clubrooms.
Football Business International Pro Academy led by UEFA Licenced Coaches
Football Business International in partnership with 26 top Tier European Clubs and through a player pathway programme provide a 9-session based module programme, led by UEFA licenced coaches as part of the player pathway system.
Albany United is the only club in New Zealand at present who are partners with Football Business International and its affiliates programme.
The football camps will be comprehensive, covering all elements of the game including techniques, skills, phases of play and
small-sided games.
All participants will be expected to take an active role in the camp, so they should have a good level of football and fitness.
For beginners the start point of modules 1 & 2, progressing to module 3 and onwards. At the conclusion of module 12 in a 3-4 year cycle the player progresses further into their footballing career.
To site as the next level in the player's development, the football camps are designed for players wanting to advance and become eligible for our National and International Tours.
Players are grouped based on ability and then by age.
The program, focused on the comprehensive training of players, has five values which are:
1. Teamwork
2. Leadership
3. Hard Work
4. Respect
5. Self Control
Training contents 3 areas:
ASPECTS OF FOOTBALL - Comprehensive training that covers the physical, technical, strategic and tactical aspects of football.
SOCIAL SKILLS – Discovering individuals’ potential and finding their place in the team, while developing their ability to socialize.
HEALTHY HABITS – Introducing rest and personal hygiene routines, time away from technology, and nutrition education.
Activities anticipated:
COMPREHENSIVE SPORT EDUCATION:
Player Pathway Scheme with induction programmes and training programs, with both theory and practice, provided by clubs like Real Madrid FC, Barcelona FC, Manchester City FC, PSG and AC Milan coaches.
EXPERIENCE ACTIVITIES:
Program of team-building activities, designed and led by UEFA Instructors who are currently engaged in FIFA and UEFA Player development programmes.
TRAINING:
90-minute morning training sessions, with 60 (camp) – to 90-minute (high performance) matches in the afternoons.
FOOTBALL THEORY:
Technical talks and seminars aimed at teaching subjects, such as formations, the rules of football and physical preparation.
SUPERVISED GAMES:
Participation in traditional games and recreational activities focused on fostering footballing values.
GROUP EXERCISES:
Participants meetings and discussions including the values covered.
As Albany United is a community club, players wishing to attend the programme, do not have to be affiliated or be registered players of Albany United FC.
The players do however need to have a register with Football Business International as an academy player to qualify and receive benefits and further enhancements in terms of football progression.
Albany has successfully hosted several holiday programmes and several FBI UEFA PRO & ELITE Academies.
We boast now, that Football Business International tour of Barcelona facilitated in 2023, has seen x3 of the academy players offered a residency programme to live, train and study in Spain, and at the same time try to break into the playing 18 of a local feeder club to one of the Spanish La Liga clubs for the 2025 season.
Along side this we have an Albany United player placed in the academy-tailored player pathway programme leading to a year of residency in Spain and hopefully placement into a feeder club to kick-start his semi-professional football career.
Under the Talent pilot programme – x5 under 10 players, have been placed on the player pathway programme and will be monitored until they turn 15 years old for hopefully player progression and provided pathway into the player residency programme.
For Albany United and its inspiring players, the player pathway and club development plans to assist move players into a career of football with affiliate programmes with feeder clubs of the elite of the game, opening avenues for players to aspire to play in the top flights of Europe.
This is great news for aspiring players as Albany United continues to meet its strategic goals and development plans.
