FUNdamental skills training - Term 1 2023  - ages 5-8

The FUNdamental football programme has been designed to improve players technical skills in a fun and enjoyable environment. Sessions are game orientated so players are using basic skills like dribbling, passing, shooting and defending constantly. This programme is targeted towards players aged 5-8 of all levels. Our aim is to create a fun platform where players enjoy coming to training and can also improve their football skills.

Due to two Bank Holidays delaying things, we will have the first session on Wednesday 8th Feb at Mairangi Bay Park, and all sessions after that at Rosedale Park on the lower fields.

Time:  5-6pm

Junior Development Programme - Term 1 2023 - ages 9 - 12

The Junior Development Player Package is an opportunity for any player aged 9 to 12 to improve their technical skills. The purpose of this initative is to move away from traditional development ‘teams’ and shift the ownership to the ‘players’ as everyone has the right to be involved this programme. If your child is keen to improve, work hard and become the best version of themselves then this is for you! 

There will be 8 pro-coaching sessions in term 4. If teams are unable to train due to weather, there may be no catch-up sessions.

About Jeremie: 

Originally hailing from France, Jeremie has coached in Auckland for the last 12 years.
His coaching style is open minded (where players can express themselves) but in a structured environment. He uses mainly game based exercises (TGFU) which focuses on player's development. For players aged 9 to 12 years old the primary focus is on having fun and learning from their mistakes. Mastering basic football techniques and game understanding are the main objectives.


Youth Development Programme - ages 13+

Youth Development coaching opportunities are open to all youth players (13+). There is an an additional fee for the programme as they will receive coaching from an OFC/NZF C License coach. Players will have the opportunity to improve tactically and broaden their understanding of the game.

2022 Skills Development Programme - Term 1

The aim of our Skills Development Programme is to develop and progress the young players of our club to advance their skills, playing ability and confidence on the pitch to become the best footballers possible. We have developed a program based on NZF best practices that fits all ages and skill levels to ensure every player gets the most out of the program and this will be delivered by NZF qualified coaches.
 
Starting at the beginning of each school term will be delivering a structured skills and attributes program over an 8-week term delivered by Andrew Mobberley and assisted by other NZ qualified coaches which will provide:
 
-              Improvement in individual skill level
-              A greater technical appreciation of the game
-              Technical ability on the ball with a better awareness and confidence
-              A better understanding of positional play and the movement required both on and off the    ball

Open to 5th to 12th Grade:

- 5th - 12th Grade  - 4.30pm - 5.30pm on Tuesdays

- Location - For Term 1, 2022,  this will be held at Constellation Reserve, the old Hockey fields, on Paul Matthews Drive

Cost - $ 80 per term

Played in Lotto NRFL Premier division & Lotto NRFL Division 1 & 2. 

Played in New Zealand's National League in 2015. 

10 international appearances for Samoa. 

Played Victorian state league (AUS) 2013-2014

U19 Youth contract player in Spain 2009-2010. 

U19 Youth contract for professional club Sporting Kansas City. 


Awards and Qualifications:

New Zealand Grassroots Coaching Award. 

Junior level 1, 2 & 3 coaching awards. 

C license (in progress). 

Bachelors Degree in Sport & Recreation, majoring in Sports Management with minor in Coaching. 

10 years coaching experience in First Kicks, Junior and Youth levels.

Goalkeeper Academy

The purpose of these sessions is to improve your child's goal keeping abilities and players will be coached in small groups. 

The next Goalkeep course startson 11th May 2022 and runs for 8 weeks. 

Location: QBE 4, 4.30pm to 5.30pm

Nathan Irwin is our Goalkeeping coach and brings a vast amount of experience for someone so young. He made his Lotto NRFL Reserves Debut at 15 and is looking to progress and push for a first team spot this season.
